What I found is a class called Save Our Stitches: Fixing Lace Knitting Mistakes by Laura Nelkin on Craftsy (one owns the class so I can go back to it to refresh my memory when necessary). Laura has a logical and direct way of explaining what she is doing and why. And the photography of what she is doing is perfect. The class contains seven lessons starting out with directions on how to read your lace, then helps you identify where the problem is located and finally with details on how to go about fixing it. I devoured the class, glued to its content and ended up being more confident about moving forward with my own lace knitting. It was well worth the minimal investment.

Since I liked how Laura Nelkin presented lace information, I looked into her website and blog. For anyone as interested in lace knitting as I am these locations will be well worth your browsing time. There are over 30 tutorials on the Nelkin Designs website with help for how to add beads, use a sewing cast off, as well as support for many of her design patterns. Again I found myself watching closely to each of these free tutorials because the instructions she offers are so clear. Her designs are also listed on Ravelry; that's where I found the mitts, below. Love the lace and beading on these delicate mitts. Oh, I think they need to be added to my have-to-knit list.
