So yesterday was in fact one of those days. Perhaps it is good to have a few of those days in life to make the days that aren't those days seem so much sweeter. But today, today everything is coming up sunshine, even the weather has taken an improved turn. There is actual sunshine outside, not the gray gloom of a day full of showers and sprinkles, like yesterday.
With regard to the printer, Paul does have a better temperament for technology. He is logical, methodical and patient as compared to my sometimes rational, scattered and frenzied approach. At 9:15 am, as promised, he came to my office and first downloaded again all the things I had done yesterday. Then systematically went through the steps twice and was thwarted, just like me. But then rather than throw in the towel he called the company for directions. Sure enough after 23 minutes on the phone my laptop and printer are synced again. In total he spent less than an hour and was successful. Even Paul admits though trying to follow the steps in the manual would never have yielded success. I somehow feel a bit vindicated that is wasn't solely me. Printer problem resolved~~more sunshine.
The login problem was resolved yesterday before the post went up. Although it didn't fully seem like a celebrateable result at the time, today I am celebrating it because it is another item checked off the to do list.
And even if I do say so myself that transfer for Anisette from written directions to a chart was an excellent idea. As I drown my negatively yesterday into knitting Anisette the entire enterprise was so much easier to accomplish. It was as if a huge impediment to progress was swept away. There were two repeats finished in no time flat. Here's the results of that effort.
The photo above is staged. I did a quick pinning of the wrap without bothering to make it exact so the special elements are easier to see. On that white background you are starting to see the beauty emerge. The knot motif edging is clear on the left side of the photo and at the top the swirl motif is also showing off. The lovely YO repeats are also beginning to become clear. There are 2.5 sets of the main motif found starting in the middle to the right of the photo.
It seems it is so much quicker to knit this thing now that I have a chart to follow. Just like solving technology troubles, perhaps the first thing I need to do is engage in using things or people that make the process easier. Indeed, today everything is coming up sunshine!
