There has been a lot of new going on here in Minneapolis and soon to be in Vancouver too! First let's talk about the new grand daughter.
Miss A is already a month old! I know how can that be true? She has been a bit of a dream baby. Her crying is at a minimum and she needs to be awaken to be fed every four hour. She's strong enough to very slowly move her head from side to side when she's on her tummy and she loves watching her big sister. She's already been smiling. Oh, Miss M, her older sibling is very happy to have a baby sister in her life. Miss M is very protective at this point. But enough of me blathering, I know what you want is a few pictures:
The other new news is in Vancouver. Paul will be bringing home two Burmese kittens next Monday. We are getting one male and one female kitten which we named Mike and Mara respectively. Both Paul and I have a bit of trepidation with him having to take on the task of making them ours by himself for the first few weeks. But I know Paul and I know he will be well read in what it takes to manage 12 week old kittens. Paul has informed me this time around I will have the privilege of taking the kittens in to be neutered. Paul took Mike #1 in and the cat didn't forgive him for months after the surgery. This time Paul thinks I should become the bad guy.
And just so you can have more kitten fun, here's the litter in a photo taken on October 6.
Mike is the darker coloured kitten at the front of the basket not looking at the camera. Mara is one of the four females in the background (I am not sure if it is Paul who didn't know which of the females is ours or if the breeder didn't specify her yet.). Paul suggested in the email with the photo that Mike might be an introvert or that he was overwhelmed by all the estrogen from his sisters. Either way, I know these kittens will add a lot of "life" into our household and that should be a lot of fun.
Yes, while I was away there was knitting and yeah, the break helped my thumb immensely. Those newly knit items will be shown in the days to come.
