I wrote about and photographed Tena's Clapotis
here. She knit it using a lovely orange Ella Rae Lace Merino in the colour Multi #119. (Oh, BTW, the pattern for Clapotis can be found on Ravelry
here.)
Well, Tena has finished her Clapotis and I'll show it to you in a minute. First a bit of back story. Tena and her husband are planning a trip to Spain very soon. They have been planning it for months. Tena has been shopping, organizing and exercising to be in the best shape possible for this trip. And the Clapotis scarf is something she will use as a scarf or as a shawl. Spain will be hot this time of year, something like 80-90 degrees F or 25-30 C, but the evenings can get cool. Tena didn't really want to pack a jacket because of its bulk and limited use, but Clapotis is so light and versatile it made great sense. Just before I left last week Tena was playing her own game of yarn roulette. I think she went for it and it looks like she won!

So big the ends had to be turned back to fit the table. |
This is Tena's Clapotis all stretched to open up the lines of dropped stitches. Frankly this isn't the best shot, they are coming.
Tena celebrated a birthday recently and Clapotis was a part of the celebration. Her husband planned a lovely one night get-away at
Harrison Hot Springs. This tiny town offers a lot of options from boating and fishing on Harrison Lake, to hiking and nature walks in the Coast Mountains, to some interesting dining options. And if you are really lucky you might see a
Sasquatch, but don't count on it. Oh, and of course there are hot springs to soothe your weary bones after a day of activity. So here are a couple of hero shots of Tena, on her birthday wearing Clapotis.

Tena, a belated "Happy Birthday" wish and great job with Clapotis; it suits you to a tee.
